A project was designed to develop a methodology to identify, select, and disseminate information on innovations in occupational education programs of Oregon community colleges that were developed and implemented without the use of vocational research and exemplary : Helen C.

Hall. Community College Funding. Funding for Oregon’s 17 community colleges supports the institutions in meeting needs for local, regional and state-level economic and workforce development. The primary sources of funding for community colleges are state funding, tuition revenue, and local property tax revenue, with state support currently accounting for a minority of total revenue.

Approved in after a collaborative process with campus leaders and stakeholders, the SSCM model shifted the formula for distribution of the majority of state funding for Oregon’s seven public universities (the legislatively approved budget for the Public University Support Fund) from a longstanding model based on enrollment, to a model that weighed not just enrollment but also resident student graduation and other factors, to promote progress toward Oregon.
